JRH3 Raffle Meister Checklist
Regular Saturday hashes
where the circle at the end is done in the daylight will usually have a
raffle. Special event Saturday hashes like Red Dress Runs, Hash Cruise
Pre-lubes, Zombie Hashes, etc will normally not have raffles.
The Web Meister will automatically
include a remark announcing that a raffle will be held during Saturday hashes, except
for those mentioned above.
Unclaimed lost and found items
will be put into the hash raffle. Items identified by their rightful owner during
the hash raffle will be removed from the raffle and given back to the
rightful owner. Once the item is raffled off, the custody of the item belongs
to whoever won it. However, they are urged to return the item to the
rightful owner if they identify the item as theirs.
Items donated to the raffle will remain
in the custody of the GM until they are given away during a hash raffle.
The Raffle Meister will hand out raffle
ticket immediately upon arriving at the on in (end of trail).
The Raffle Meister will hand out "one
ticket" to each person at the circle, excluding non-hasher observers and
helpers. If a person has ever attended/donated to hash cash before they are
not a non-hasher/observer or helper.
The Raffle Meister will stop the raffle
once all the tickets handed out have been called, or whenever the raffle
items run out. Only one ticket is to be handed out per person.
Winners of the raffle may exchange
their items for any remaining raffle items unclaimed in the raffle.
Any left over raffle items will be
given to the GM to store until the next raffle.
The GM will be responsible for
purchasing raffle tickets and bringing them to the hash. However, the GM may
ask the Raffle Meister to purchase the tickets for the hash if it is more
convenient for the GM.
The GM will bring any left over items back to the next raffle.
