Commentary (Expanded Hash Trash)
Our hare, Math Sucks, found some new territory . . . or at least
an area not seen in many years. Trail had some excellent shiggy, that will
certainly need more exploration in the future. Overall, we had a good mix of off
road, and on road, on this 4 mile trail (at least it was 4 miles for me with the
checks and check backs). The first half was mostly in the sand, and circled back
to the start for a beer check. Trail then had a second half out into the
adjacent neighborhood, that again looped back into the start. It seems half the
pack (3 hashers) only got as far as the beer check, and having found the beer,
decided that was enough for them. The 3 runners continued on, to enjoy a bit
more exploration. All in all, a fine night of frivolity.
The big announcement today was . . . finally . . . NEXT WEEK, the Pirate
Invasion Hash Cruise has finally arrived. We’ll have the regularly scheduled
trail next Wednesday, then the cruisers will make their way to Miami, for a
prelube hash on Friday, and out to sea on Saturday for 8 days in the Caribbean,
with scheduled stops in Aruba, Bonaire, and two port calls in the Dominican
Republic. Are we gonna have a good time???? YOU BET YOUR ASS WE ARE!!!
