Ginnie Springs Pirate Invasion Campout Hash IX

Fri, May 20th - Sun, May 22nd, 2016
Rego Form  Who's Coming So Far  Ginnie Springs Website

GENERAL INFO:

Welcome: Come join the Jolly Roger H3 as we invade the Ginnie Springs Campground, located at 5000 NE 60th Ave, High Springs, FL 32643, https://goo.gl/maps/YM7HN for a fun filled weekend of camping, floating and hashing! This event includes 2 nights of camping, Fri and Sat nights, May 20th and 21st, 2016 and park usage on Sun, May 22nd until ½ hour before dusk. The registration (rego) fee pays for your camping for 2 nights, 3-4 hash trails, gimmies, and all the beer, bottled water and snacks you can consume from about noon, Fri, May 20th until about 10 AM on Sun, May 22nd. All other beverages and food are on you, as this is a "campout". REPEAT, NO FOOD WILL BE PROVIDED BY THE HASH the year, except for snacks. Accordingly, the rego fee is $5 less this year.

Food: Access All Areas will be taking up a separate collection (about $5 per person), at Ginnie Springs, to go pick up pizza delivery for Sat evening dinner, in case anybody wants to go that route.  And, the park does has a kitchen next to the office that serves food.

Cost: Please download the rego form, fill it out, sign it and send it along with your rego fee payable to RICHARD GEERS, 7007 Orvicti Ct, Wesley Chapel, FL 33544. Or if you want to do everything online, you can send a signed photo copy of the rego form (or at least the info it asks for) in an email to dab@jollyrogerh3.com and then use your bank's on line bill pay system to send a check to the above address. Sorry, we don't accept PayPal. Cost is $72 until May 18th. The cost goes up $75 on May 19th, or if you just show up and pay in person at Ginnie Springs. But you must let us know you're coming in advance so we can add your nerd names to the list at the park's check in office. Contact Dab for special arrangements for just Fri, just Sat, no beer, no gimmies, etc. Click here to view the cost break down.  Add $20 dollars for each additional camping night before and/or after Fri and Sat nights. The hash rego fee is non-refundable, but it is transferable, meaning you can sell it to someone else if you need to cancel. Any rego transfers must be completed and verified by the seller(s) by midnight, Wed, May 18th. You will not be allowed to camp or even hang out in our "private campground" (Deer Springs) unless you are paid-in-full and you were approved by the JRH3 GM (yours truly, Dabadoo).

Camping: Bring your sleeping bag, tent and/or camper! We will have both sides of the Deer Springs camping area at our disposal, assuming we get 40 people or more. There is no electricity in the campground, so come prepared to make your own! However there are 2 fresh water faucet available, one on each side of Deer Spring. Please, NO GLASS CONTAINERS of any sort are allowed in the park. So, pour your liquor into plastic containers before entering the park! See this map for our designated camping areas, parking areas, etc.

Check In:
Upon arrival at the Ginnie Springs Park, go to the check in office next to the park entrance and let them know you are with the Jolly Roger H3 Group. DO NOT pay for your own camping! Your camping fees will be pre-paid for you by the JRH3 as part of the rego. Once checked in, you will get a pass to put in the window of your vehicle which must be displayed at all times. Then proceed to the
Deer Springs camping area and look for Dab, or other representative, to get check in with the hash and to get your gimmies. Camping spots will be on a first come first serve basis.

Other: Everyone should bring a few logs along to donate to the central bonfire(s) and a couple bags of ice. Ice and food are available for purchase at the park's country store near the entrance. Once again, make sure you bring enough food to get you through the weekend, as the Jolly Roger H3 will only be providing beer, bottled water and snacks during this campout.

ITINERARY:

Fri, May 20th, 9 PM: Bungle Through The Jungle Trail: Manchowder Cha Cha and Lepracock will be our hares for this most hash-like trail of the weekend, which includes a beer stop, plenty of shiggy and a 3+ mile runners trail.

Fri, May 20th, Midnight Impromptu N' Trail: There may be a "no host" Impromptu N' Trail sometime after midnight for those interested. Its totally unofficial and counts for nothing.

Sat, May 16th, 10 AM: Aluminum Wank Challenge: Dog F'r & Thumper Humper will once again be hosting their "optional" Aluminum Wank Challenge on Sat morning, May 21st at 10 AM. This will entail running, swimming, and some sort of wheeled vehicle endeavor. Participants will be eligible to purchase a special Aluminum Wank Man Challenge patch for participating. Make donations directly to Dog or Thumper during the campout to cover the cost ($2 each).

Sat, May 15th, Noon: Float Trip Trail - Main Event: Metawhorical Sunshine has offered to hare this trail. Trail will lead you up to the park office where everyone can blow up their flotation devices at the air pump and then to the furthest up-river entry point in the park. Then we will float back down river to our campsite, which is the furthest down-river exit point in the park. Make sure you bring along some sort of floatation device for the float trip. If not, you can rent one at the Ginnnie Springs Office for extra.

Sat, May 15th: 9 PM: Wear Anything But Clothes, Tent-To-Tent Shot Stop Hash: GRC & They Float will be the hares. Suggest you go to the "Anything But Clothes Party Ideas" website for some ideas on what to wear. Other hashers will be needed to host shot stops at their tents/RVs along the way. If you would like to volunteer, send and email to grc.jrh3@gmail.com by email, or to 813-495-5367 by text.
